Model Yachting Magazine-DWH

Picture
Model Yachting is the magazine of the American Model Yachting Association.
The staff of the magazine is composed entirely of AMYA members who devote countless hours of their time to produce the publication.

Model Yachting is an 8½ X 11" format color cover publication, printed and distributed to registered members of the American Model Yachting Association, and to businesses advertising within Model Yachting.

Model Yachting is usually 60 pages per issue (sometimes less, often more), including feature articles, construction articles, racing rules explanations, regatta reports, class news and tips with detailed photos and drawings, and information about AMYA business.
Over 100 issues have been printed since it's inception, each containing informative articles, reports on model yachting regatta's and events, reports on the various yacht classes and their happenings. Beginning with issue #113 each issue featured a specific class, most of these have excellent tips for construction, sailing, and more...

Contributors should send their articles and photos directly to the section editor for where they intend them to be placed. Please follow the guidelines/specifications detailed on the Magazine > Authoring and Photo Specifications page on this website. The editors are all listed on the Contact Us page. If you are working on content for a Featured Class Issue, then send your articles and photos directly to your Class Secretary or Magazine Coordinator. Again, follow the specifications found on the Magazine > Authoring and Photo Specifications page.

Notice: Our editorial policy has changed, so that every issue will allow room for articles about other classes, and other technical articles, in addition to the Featured Class. You no longer have to wait until your class is featured - there is room for articles about all classes in each issue of your Model Yachting magazine. Contact your editor for information about how to submit articles to Model Yachting magazine at myEditor@TheAMYA.org
