2023 DragonFlite95 Florida Travelers Regatta

After a bitterly cold (for Florida) DF65 regatta on Saturday, the DF95 Florida Travelers Regatta the weather on Sunday, January 15, 2023, at Green Parrot Lake in Nathan Benderson Park (NBP) provided more cold, sunny weather. Temperatures had dropped to high 30's the night before and only warmed up into the 50's during the day. The sunny day made it tolerable for the skippers as long as they were in the sun. There were very light northwest winds (3-5 mph) in the morning, increasing during the day to gusts of 10-15 mph and shifting to the south/southeast. Like they had on Saturday, the competitors braved the cold with grace and gusto, and a good time was had by all!

A special thanks to the Race Committee and to the many volunteers for their preparation and hard work during the regatta. Special thanks to Tony Gonsalves for his assistance to the RD in setting course marks. Also thanks to Nathan Benderson Park for their assistance in providing and preparing the Regatta site.
