WIMMYC Spring 2025 DF95 Regatta - AMYA #223, Region #4
Lake Tomah - May 9 &10, 2025

The third annual DF95 regatta hosted by members of the Wisconsin, Illinois & Minnesota Model Yacht Club (WIMMYC) was an enjoyable sailing experience for sailors, their families and spectators in Tomah, Wisconsin. We were honored to host sailors from five States and thankful to the many volunteers who helped make the regatta a success.

The WIMMYC appreciates the work of Best Western Hotel (Lindsey and Leesa), Tomah Park & Recreation (Joe Protz), Wetlands Catering & Taphouse Twenty Restaurant (Jessica, Jenny, Jimmy and Tyson). Their contributions and work facilitated a well run and enjoyable regatta.

Special thanks go to Jeff Gros as race director and Jean Bower, Debbie Bierman, Joe Richmond, James Neild and Thomas Germanson as members of the race committee. We are indebted to these individuals for their volunteer contributions: Bob Ambruster (yard signs), Jean Bower (Co-coordinator), Heather Flink (Videographer), Steve Holdeman (Drone Buoys & Raffle Donation - DF95 Kit), John Kuehl, Second Lake Woodcrafts (Trophies), James Neild (Regatta Assistant) Joe & Karen Richmond (WIMMYC burgundy jackets, Drone Buoy support & Volunteers).

A shout out goes to our kind and dedicated sailors who traveled long distances to participate in our three day event. The sailing was competitive and respectful which you'll see in the attached race results. It was clear that this group of sailors were interested in an excellent sailing experience when compliments were plentiful and fouls were rare. The camaraderie between sailors created a memorable sailing experience.

Please know the regatta was a success because of everyone's contributions and it could not have happened without you!
