Region 7, basically the state of Florida boasts more model sailing clubs and more big clubs than any other state, with over 35. The most active fleets are the EC 12 with at least 6 regattas each year. The Dragon Force 65 and Dragon Flite 95 have a "Travelers Trophy" consisting of 6 regattas. The RC Laser fleet has a Florida Winter Series of 7 regattas. Other active classes include the US 12, Soling One Meter, Micro Magic, IOM, Victoria, RG 65, Star 45, and Sea Wind.
The Region 7 regatta schedule running from September thru April has more scheduled regattas than any other Region. Throw in more than a few club regattas, including "Sail for the Cure" (cancer) and the "Leukemia and Lymphoma Society" regattas and we have the most extensive schedule in AMYA. Never having solid water outside of a glass, makes Region 7 a destination with your boat not to be missed.
